Oh yeah, LOL Jocks had a birthday

Yes, twelve months ago today, LOL Jocks was born. And just like my own birthdays, I like to not mention it to people until it's too late for people to sing.

(Also I didn't want to deflect attention from the Iron Ref competition link. Seriously folks, read that shit and vote. I spent way too much time on that Milton Bradley photoshop.)

Week 5 LOLpicks: Trent gave you his heart, you gave him a pen

49ers +3.5 VS Ravens: This will be the second consecutive game that Trent Dilfer faces a team he once quarterbacked. You may remember last week when Trent refused to leave the Seahawk sideline until Mike Holmgren looked into his eyes and said that he didn't love him anymore... this week expect Dilfer to stand on the Niner bench holding a jukebox blaring "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel over his head in Brian Billick's direction.

Chiefs +2 VS Jaguars: Say hello to Dwayne Bowe, the most added fantasy football player this week thanks to his coming-out party (164 yards and a touch) against San Diego. Of course, I had grabbed him off waivers the week before, but I didn't start him because I thought that David Carr might want to throw the football Steve Smith's way every once in a while.

Patriots -17 VS Browns: Yes, I will jump on board the "Give the points, take the Patriots" bus that everybody and their gambling degenerate mother is on. I'm surprised this line hasn't jumped to -28 already.

(By the way, if you have to click this link for the above reference, shame. SHAME.)

Cardinals -3.5 AT Rams: This picture is awesome for multiple reasons... first, this is the second photo of Leinart I've done where he's grabbing his head like so. It's either a very odd coincidence, or Matty has a brain tumor that he doesn't want us to know about (brain tumors are not HOTT).

Second, look at Leinart's teammates in the photo... they both look like they are afraid that they'll accidentally get into a conversation about how Paris Hilton's twat smells funny.

Last Week: 3-1
Season: 10-7

Week 3 LOLpicks: Silent but deadly

Jaguars +3.5 AT Broncos: Might as well take the points, considering the only way the Broncos seem to win these days is by last-second field goals.

Panthers -4 AT Falcons: Just to let you know, Matt Schaub has only been sacked twice so far this year. I believe that David Carr has fallen over on the Panthers' sideline at least three times in that span.

Cardinals +8 AT Ravens: Philosophical question... is Ray Lewis scarier than herpes?

Redskins -4 VS Giants: Clinton Portis should totally do a mid-week interview as a lolcat. If anything, it's a good excuse to eat a cheeseburger.

Last week: 2-2
Season: 4-5

NFL Week 1 Wrap-up: There can be only one

Cincinnati 27, Baltimore 20: Hey Ocho Cinco... next time check your jacket for spelling errors, buddy. By the way, Steve McNair got hurt late in this game, and Kyle Boller had to finish. Who could've predicted that?

San Francisco 20, Arizona 17: The ugliest pro game that you will ever see ending early on a Tuesday. Insufferable fantasy football note: I wanted Alex Smith as my starting fantasy quarterback, but i thought that the ninth round was too early to take him, so I grabbed Tony Romo instead. And this is why I am awesome.

Denver 15, Buffalo 14: One of three game-winning field goals on Sunday (including Green Bay over Philadelphia... and Washington over Miami), but the most badass considering that the entire field goal unit had to run a Chinese fire drill to get the kick off in time. Dance, bitches!

New England 38, New York Jets 14: I know that the Patriots' dominance was the story in this game. And I know that Pennington got injured, and it's not nice to make fun of injured folks. But when I get a chance to reference a vague Kids in the Hall recurring character, I take it.

Dallas 45, New York 35: Awesome picture sent in from Matt, although I know a certain emo band that would respectfully disagree with him.

Eli must have had a prior engagement at a karaoke bar

These athlete photo shoots are quickly becoming my favorite to give the LOLjock treatment (remember Essence?)... here's a new one by GQ featuring the young quarterbacks of the NFL that don't have inferiority complexes caused by their perfect older brothers.
